Drawing sheets

Drawing sheets is white paper on which an object is drawn which is available in various sizes. The sheet used for engineering should be of good quality.


It should be white with uniform thickness with must resist the easy tearing of paper. The surface of the sheet must be smooth.


Following are the Drawing sheet types along with their Dimensions and  Uses :


1. A0 = This sheet is the biggest sheet having the length and width 841 x 1189. This sheet is used in paper wall notes and CAD drawings.


2. A1 = Cutting the A0 sheet half will create 2 A1 sheets measuring the dimensions 594 x 841. This sheet can used to make large signs and poster


3. A2 = Cutting the A1 sheet from the middle creates 2 A2 sheets measuring the dimensions 420 x 594. This sheet can used to make window displays and art prints.


4. A3 = The A3 sheet have the dimension 297 x 420. This sheet can used to make presentation and charts.


5. A4 = The 5th is the A4 Sheet which we uses commonly. It is can be created if cut the A3 sheet half measuring the dimensions 210 x 297. This sheet can used to make catalogs, small poster, magazines etc.


6. A5 = The last sheet is the A5 Sheet it has the dimensions 148 x 210 and yes you guessed right it can created from an A4 sheet. This A5 sheet is smallest sheet and it is used in dairies and planner books.
